Vertical Solar Power Farm
March 22, 2011
Chicago’s Willis tower (better known as the Sears Tower) will pilot a new kind of solar panel on the windows of the 56th floor. No worries, the views won’t be ruined: the panels are actually integrated into the glass (it’s called a photovoltaic glass for all you nerds out there). If everything works out, they might expand to all the floors creating a huge vertical solar farm. Kudos!
