California Close To Banning Styrofoam

Styrofoam is definitely one of the worst materials. Ever. It takes forever to biodegrade, it breaks into small pieces that are ingested by animals, and it doesn’t get recycled very often (the process is slow and not cost-effective). So California’s senate has voted to ban it. Starting in 2014, restaurants and grocery stores will no longer be allowed to package food items in these containers. It’s nice to see that someone has finally taken a stand, hopefully other states will follow.
