I’ve never been excited about a thermostat before, but this is a thing of beauty. Its super smart design makes it an intuitive and welcome addition to any household. After seeing its usability, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that one of its designers is Tony Fadell (who had a hand in designing the iPod). As you use Nest, it learns your habits, adjusts with the weather, and offers ways to cut down on your energy bill. Did you know that changing your thermostat just 1 degree can reduce your energy use by up to 5%? Check out their site for more info and preorder here! ($249 each).
