We discovered turntable.fm a couple of days ago and we have to admit, we might be slightly addicted already. This is how it works:
-Turntable has many rooms with different musical genres as themes (among other things, but you’ll learn that as you go)
-Each room has 5 DJ spots which are occupied by users. DJs alternate playing songs.
-When you go into a room you hear the music that is being played and you get to vote on whether the song is awesome or lame.
-If there is a DJ spot available, you can take it and play your own songs for the entire room
It sounds kind of weird, but you really have to try it for yourself to understand the experience. The folks at Turntable seem to have finally found a way to replicate the fun of sharing music with friends. Two thumbs up!
